This international conference addresses the complex issues surrounding globalization and its influences on economics, the humanities, the arts, the social sciences and technology. Featured keynote speakers are Gayatri Spivak, Amit Bhaduri, Victoria de Grazia, Barry Gills, Thomas Hylland Eriksen and Roland Robertson. Fourteen sessions will be offered during the three-day conference, covering topics such as Working in the aftermath of wars and natural disasters -- international responsibilities; China, globalization and women's rights; Mobility; Globalization and Religion; Social Justice; Globalization and Corporate Social Responsibility; Globalization's challenges for the humanities; and Globalization's artistic expressions. The conference also features world music performances, the screening of several international films and an international art exhibit.
