This CWIHP meeting is cosponsored with the Center's Division of US Studies and Scholar Selection and Service Office.
Bird and Sherwin will present their book, followed by comments by Robert Stan Norris, senior analyst at the Natural Resources and Defense Council and author of "Racing for the bomb: General Leslie R. Groves, the Manhattan Project's indispensable man" (2002). Wilson Center Public Policy Scholar Jim Hershberg (GWU) , author of "James B. Conant: Harvard to Hiroshima and the making of the nuclear age" (1995), will chair the meeting.
