You are invited to submit a paper proposal for the panel on the “Representations of the Oriental Indies in Spanish Golden Age”, which is to be presented at the annual conference of the Renaissance Society of America in 2006 (San Francisco, 23-25 March). Papers on the construction of a social or cultural identity as related to the representation of an almost mythical other world such as the Indias Orientales, utopia, and intercultural contacts are invited.
