On March 26, 2005 at 2 pm, the Autry National Center in Los Angeles is holding the first in a series of three panel discussions on violence in the West. The first panel will be a forty year retrospective on the legacy of the Watts riots. Panelists include Gerald Horne (UNC Chapel Hill), Bernard Parks, Kimberley Thompson (of Johnson Development Corporation--Magic Johnson's company),Timothy Watkins (President of the Watts Labor Community Action Committee), and Brenda Stevenson (UCLA).
