This year’s Rocky Mountain Medieval and Renaissance Association (RMMRA) Conference will be held in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, June 2-5, 2005, with the theme “Frontiers and Borders.” All events will be held at the beautiful Snow King Lodge, which offers special rates to attendees. Invited speakers include Kevin Harty, author of Cinema Arthuriana, King Arthur on Film, and The Reel Middle Ages and Stephen Orgel, author of Imagining Shakespeare, Impersonations: The Performance of Gender in Shakespeare’s England, and The Illusion of Power: Political Theater in the English Renaissance.
Proposals for both papers and panels are welcome. Please email them to organizers Susan Aronstein and Susan Frye (e-mail addresses provided below) by March 30, 2005. Inquiries are also welcome.
Jackson Hole is located in the Tetons, the most spectacular range of the Rocky Mountains in the U.S., and is just a few miles from Yellowstone National Park. Several major airlines offer service to Jackson.
