On March 31 - April 1, 2005, the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures is organizing its third conference at James Madison University. This conference will bring together scholars/researchers from a variety of disciplines to address the universal theme of freedom for which humanity, since the beginning of time, has fought and died in order to assure its survival and sources.
We are inviting faculty, students, and independent scholars and researchers in fields such as English and foreign literatures, history, art history, all sciences, philosophy and religion, music, theater and dance, political science, psychology, sociology and others, to submit abstract/proposals and convene panel discussions and/or workshops. We also incourage participants to organize and chair sessions.
The deadline for submitting proposals of max 300 words, is March 6, 2005. Proposals should be sent to:
