Call for Papers – Hagley Museum and Library Seminar Series
For its 2005-06 research seminar series, the Center for the History of Business, Technology, and Society at the Hagley Museum and Library invites paper proposals from advanced scholars in the history, sociology, or anthropology of work, technology and/or enterprise. We welcome applicants developing or researching questions, issues or topics that lie beyond dissertation revision and publication, i.e. “second book” projects or later. Papers should be work in progress essays such that the seminar discussion can influence their final form. Hagley will cover travel and local expenses, and will also provide an honorarium to seminar presenters. All papers will be pre-circulated, and each session will open with one or more formal comments on the text. Kindly send a 1-2 page statement regarding the work in progress and a short vita through mail or e-mail to Dr. Roger Horowitz (contact information provided below). Deadline for submissions is April 1, 2005
