ISDR, India along with international partners (IHDP, UNU, University of Bonn), announce the session for North-South participation on integrating human dimensions and coastal zone management. Global environmental change is occurring within the context of a number of transformations, including those that are strongly biophysical and those that are more socio-economic and cultural in nature. These interrelated transformations are creating opportunities and challenges for a sustainable future. ISDR, India is organizing a conference session on coastal zone management focusing on aquaculture issues, global environmental changes and human dimensions.
This session focuses on the coastal zone management and human use of oceans including Surface and ground water along coastal regions, climate change and their interrelationships – quality, policy and management and issues with reference to aquaculture and its impacts on the global environment.
