I am trying to put together a panel for the upcoming ASLH conference in Cincinatti, OH. I would like the panel to examine the application of US Constitutional Law in contexts outside the US, either in US territories or foreign jurisdictions. My own research focuses on the role played by US Constitutional Law to structure the legal order of the Philippine Islands during the American colonial period of Philippine History (period spans 1898-1941), and I plan to write a paper analyzing a particular flashpoint within this period.
