ASLH Panel on the application of US Constitutional Law in US territories or foreign jurisdictions
Call for Papers Date:
I am trying to put together a panel for the upcoming ASLH conference in Cincinatti, OH. I would like the panel to examine the application of US Constitutional Law in contexts outside the US, either in US territories or foreign jurisdictions. My own research focuses on the role played by US Constitutional Law to structure the legal order of the Philippine Islands during the American colonial period of Philippine History (period spans 1898-1941), and I plan to write a paper analyzing a particular flashpoint within this period.
Should you be interested in taking part in this panel, whether as panelist, chair, or discussant, please send me an e-mail describing your work by January 30, 2005 to the following e-mail address. Deadline for ASLH panel submissions is February 1, 2005.
