On Saturday, April 9, 2005, the Psi Sigma Chapter in Las Vegas, Nevada will be hosting the Southwest Regional Conference. We would like to invite students at all levels (BA, MA, Ph.D.), Phi Alpha Theta members and non-members, to join us for this event and to consider presenting a paper. A number of prizes will be awarded for the best history papers in various categories, though non-Phi Alpha Theta members are not eligible for all of these prizes.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is March 1, 2005. Abstracts should fit on one page and should be in 12-point font, single-spaced. Please provide: your name, school, Phi Alpha Theta Chapter (if not applicable please indicate), program (BA,MA,PhD), the full paper title and then, in the abstract, outline the key sources (primary and/or secondary) that the work draws on, and the key argument/s that the paper makes.
