Continuing its international tradition, Humboldt University in Berlin looks forward to being once again a meeting place for people from all over the world in the summer of 2005. The participants can expect an interesting and wide-ranging program. All courses at the Summer School are related in one way or the other to the city of Berlin, to Germany as well as to Europe. They will provide a broad scope of interesting lectures, seminars, and discussions. Berlin is Germany’s center for arts and science, the nation’s capital and a cosmopolitan city, not to mention a geographical, political and cultural hub of Europe. As the bridge linking Eastern and Western Europe, Berlin brings different cultures together.
We offer German language courses at different levels. All courses are open to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students and you receive up to 8 credits (European Credit Transfer System). The content-based courses of the Area Studies Course are taught in English or in German by Humboldt faculty or qualified professors from other universities or institutions in Berlin.
