Call for Proposals for a Panel on “German Film and the Law” for the 2005 German Studies Association Conference in Milwaukee, WI. September 29-October 2
This panel will explore a range of perspectives on the subject of film and the law in German speaking countries and will consider not just the law on film, but also the legislation that governs film production, distribution and exhibition. In addition to the cinematic representation of legal disputes, trials and law enforcement, topics might include zoning regulation, censorship, funding, quotas, and entertainment law.
