A CINEMA DISTRIBUTION COOPERATIVE

A distribution agreement has been established between Fountainhead® Tanz Theatre Film-Video Distribution Service and Freunde der Deutschen Kinemathek e.V. (Friends Of The German Film Archive), Berlin/Germany, for selected participating films from the annual Black International Cinema Berlin.

PUBLICATIONS AND DISTRIBUTION
The Fountainhead® Tanz Theatre Film-Video Distribution Service and Freunde der Deutschen Kinemathek e.V. offers international and inter- and crosscultural perspectives, through film, video and publications.
The cinematic resources include narrative, documentary, experimental and comedic work presented by an international group of video/filmmakers.
Subject matter such as dance, theatre, film, fine arts, socio-political and historical issues are portrayed in our cinematic offerings and also in the Black International Cinema Anthologies.
The BIC Anthologies are published in association with the Black International Cinema film/video festival and are authored by an informed international group of writers.

Zwischen Fountainhead® Tanz Theatre Film-Video Distribution Service und Freunde der Deutschen Kinemathek e.V. ist eine Vereinbarung hinsichtlich des Verleihs getroffen worden, bezogen auf ausgesuchte Filme, die auf dem jährlichen Black International Cinema Berlin gezeigt werden.

PUBLIKATIONEN & VERTRIEB/VERLEIH
Der Fountainhead® Tanz Theatre Film-Video Distribution Service und Freunde der Deutschen Kinemathek e.V. bieten internationale, interkulturelle sowie crosskulturelle Perspektiven präsentiert durch Filme, Videos und Publikationen.
Die kinematischen Ressourcen setzen sich zusammen aus Spielfilmen, Dokumentationen, Komödien und Experimentalfilmen präsentiert von einer Gruppe internationaler Video- und Filmemacher.
Themen, die sich mit Tanz, Theater, Film, Kunst, sozialpolitischen und historischen Fragen auseinandersetzen, werden in unserem filmischen Angebot porträtiert und ebenfalls in den Black International Cinema Anthologien behandelt. Die BIC Anthologien werden herausgegeben in Verbindung mit dem Black International Cinema Film-/Videofestival und beinhalten Artikel einer kenntnisreichen internationalen Gruppe von SchriftstellerInnen.

MAY 5 – 8

We are inviting applications from aspiring singers with artistry and talent, who wish to improve their vocal technique and study oratorio, opera and German romantic Lied repertoire. The master classes will address the singers individual requirements i.e., stage poise, audition preparations, vocal and breathing techniques and professional contacts.

A concluding concert will be presented to the Berlin public during the XX. Black International Cinema Berlin 2005, May 5 - 8. The master classes and concert will be conducted by Prof. Norma Sharp and Ms. Nena Brzakovic.

MAY VOICES IN BERLIN 2005 participants, ages 16 – 35, will be selected on a basis of submitted tapes or CD's. Please mail the audition materials to Prof. Norma Sharp, Hochschule für Musik „Hanns Eisler“, Charlottenstr. 55, 10117 Berlin/Germany, by February 15, 2005.
Please include name, address and age information.

Those invited artists will engage in 5 hour daily classes with Prof. Norma Sharp and Ms. Nena Brzakovic.

Participating artists will be required to pay a fee of 250,00 Euros for master classes and concert.
For those wishing to monitor/observe classes, the fee is 125,00 Euros.
The daily class observation fee is 30,00 Euros.

Wir freuen uns über Bewerbungen von aufstrebenden SängerInnen mit künstlerischer Begabung und Talent, die sich wünschen, ihre stimmliche Technik zu verbessern und Oratorium, Oper und das deutsche romantische Liedrepertoire zu studieren. Die Meisterklassen werden die individuellen Anforderungen der SängerInnen berücksichtigen, d.h., Bühnenpräsenz, Vorbereitung für das Vorsingen, Stimm- und Atemtechnik und die Bereitstellung von professionellen Kontakten.

Ein Abschlusskonzert wird der Berliner Öffentlichkeit während des XX. Black International Cinema Berlin 2005, 5.-8. Mai, präsentiert. Die Meisterklassen und das Konzert werden von Prof. Norma Sharp und Frau Nena Brzakovic geleitet.

Die TeilnehmerInnen an MAI STIMMEN IN BERLIN 2005, im Alter von 16 – 35 Jahren, werden auf der Basis von eingereichten Cassetten oder CDs ausgewählt. Bitte schicken Sie die Bewerbungsunterlagen bis zum

   Grownupism!
   1 Day, When I Grow Up!

   I wuz sittin’ an’ stinkin’ ‘bout life an’ skool an’ things.
   Seems like the dragon-teecher turned into a filosopher after the ‘lection!
   She sed, “You have to be philosophical about the outcome and look to the future!”
   Sounds O.K. to me, but I didn’t unnerstand how filosophy wuz gonna git sumbody more votes than sumbody else!?
   Papa sez, “There was a lot of philosophy in play, but many people were not so much interested in thinking, as they were in yes or no answers!”
   Granma sez, “Well, they got yes and no answers and let’s see what comes of it?”
   Man, grownups can be so komplicated sumtimes!
   So, of course the dragon-teecher gits the bright idea to give us sum homework essay, ‘bout money an’ filosophy an’ life an’ wut we think ‘bout all these “kemical kombinations?”
   So, after talkin’ with granma, papa an’ mama, here’s wut I cum up wit:
   It seems like you need money, an’ lots of it, to live good an’ also git ‘lected! An’ without the big pennies, you don’t git ‘lected to a good life or a public office!
   Man, so I guess I’m goin’ to skool to learn sumthin’ to help me for life an’ maybe git ‘lected to office!
   But on the other hand, wen my family explains filosophy an’ church an’ stuff to me, then it seems like there are always a lot of other things to konsider!?
   Ev’rywhere I look, nuthin’ but komplications!
   If we learn an’ think ‘bout stuff, then it helps me an’ other peeple to know wut to do wit money an’ our life, ‘cause we have sum kinda plan, sum kinda map to go by!
   So, I’m gonna write for the dragon, that filosophy in life cums first, an’ money cums later. And even if you don’t have much money, if first things cum first, you’re still better off, cause you have a plan for your life.
   All this sittin’ an’ stinkin’ is wearin’ me out, so I’m gonna go to sleep an’ plan my life, while I’m dreamin’.

   Erwachsensein!
   Eines Tages, wenn ich erwachsen werde!
   

   Ich war am Sitz'n und Stink'n üba's Leben und Schule und so Sachen.
   Scheint, als ob sich die Drachenlehrerin in 'ne Filosophin vawandelt hat nach der Wahl!
   Sie sagte: „Man muss philosophisch sein mit dem Ergebnis und in die Zukunft schauen!“
   Klingt Okay für mich, aber ich hab' nich vastand'n, wie Filosophie irgend jemand mehr Stimmen bringt als irgend jemand anders!?
   Papa sagt: „Da spielte eine Menge Philosophie eine Rolle, aber viele Leute waren nicht so sehr interessiert am Denken wie an Ja- oder Nein-Antworten!"
   Oma sagt: „Nun, sie bekamen Ja- und Nein-Antworten, jetzt lass uns sehen, was dabei herauskommt?"
   Mann, Erwachsene könn' manchma' so kompleziert sein!
   Also, klar kriegt die Drachenlehrerin die brilliante Idee, uns 'n Aufsatz als Hausaufgabe aufzugeb'n, üba Geld und Filosophie und das Leben und was wir üba all diese „schemikalischen Kombinationen denk'n“?
   Also, nachdem ich mit Oma, Papa und Mama gesproch'n hab', is' hier, was mir dazu einfällt:
   Scheint so, als ob du Geld brauchst, und 'ne Menge davon, um gut zu leb'n und auch gewählt zu werd'n!
   Und ohne die dicken Pennies, wirste nich' für'n gutes Leben ausgewählt oder für'n öffentliches Amt!
   Mann, also glaub' ich, ich geh' zur Schule, um was Hilfreiches für's Leben zu lern'n und vielleicht für'n Amt gewählt zu werd'n!
   Aber auf der ander'n Seite, wenn meine Familie mir was üba Filosophie und Kirche und so'n Zeug erklärt, dann sieht's so aus, als ob da immer 'ne Menge and'rer Sachen zu beacht'n sind!?
   Überall, wo ich hinkucke, nichts als Komplekationen!
   Wenn wir Sachen lern’ und d’rüber nachdenk’n, dann hilft's mir und and'ren Leuten zu wiss'n, was zu mach'n is' mit dem Geld und unser'm Leben, weil wir 'ne Art Plan hab'n, 'ne Art Landkarte zum Weitergeh'n!
   Also werd' ich für'n Drachen schreib'n, dass zuerst Filosophie im Leben kommt und das Geld später. Und sogar, wenn du nich' viel Geld hast, wenn was zuerst kommt, was wichtig is', bist du immer noch besser dran, weil du 'nen Plan für dein Leben hast.
   Dies' ganze Sitz'n und Stink' laugt mich aus, also geh' ich jetzt schlaf'n und plan mein Leben, während ich träum'.
   Vagiss mich nich’ Weihnachtsmann und fröhliche Weihnachten für alle!
