Contributions sought for an edited volume on the offshoring of white-collar and professional work. Chapters will explore the implications of offshoring both for displaced workers whose jobs have gone overseas and “foreign” workers who now perform those jobs. Research based in the US or India is of particular interest, but studies of other regions are also welcome. The volume will focus on anthropological research, but related contributions from other disciplines are welcome.
An academic press has already expressed an interest in the volume, and we expect a quick turnaround time, with publication in 2005.
