Call for papers for the inaugural FHIS Graduate Students’ Conference for Romance Languages and Literatures

The University of British Columbia’s Department of French, Hispanic, and Italian Studies is pleased to announce its inaugural Graduate Students’ Conference for Romance Languages and Literatures, to be held March 17 and 18, 2005, at Green College in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Students currently enrolled in a graduate program are invited to submit abstracts on any topic in the fields of linguistic and literary studies in French, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish.
Presentations should not exceed 20 minutes (8-10 pages MLA style) and may be made in any of the above-mentioned languages or in English.
Please send a 200-word abstract in electronic format with your name, affiliation and contact information (including e-mail), either as an attachment in Rich Text format or in the body of your e-mail, to the address shown below. Abstracts must be in English and must be received no later than January 21, 2005; however, early submissions are recommended.
