Papers are invited that explore the cultural reflection of death, particular the portrayal, poetics, and parody of the idea of death. Topics might include but are not limited to: Public Death, Private Death, Cinematographic Death, Comical Death, Televised Death, Tales of Death, and Suicide. This half day symposium will allow graduate students to present their papers. USF Faculty members will serve as respondents. Please submit one-page abstracts (200-250 words) for consideration.
