The Middle Atlantic Conference on British Studies will hold its annual meeting on 9 April 2005, at the Hilton Alexandria at Old Town. The Hilton is at the heart of Alexandria's Old Town area- adjacent to the King Street Metro and Amtrak Station. It is minutes away from Washington's Reagan National Airport via the Yellow or Blue Metro Lines
The MACBS invites both established scholars and graduate students to submit proposals for panels or individual papers on any aspect of British history or culture. We particularly encourage proposals for roundtables and thematic sessions that reach across chronological boundaries. All proposals should include a 200-word abstract and one page curriculum vitae with mailing address, phone number, fax and e-mail address, if available. Please indicate in the proposal if your presentation will require AV support.
