The University at Buffalo History Department with the support of the Graduate Student Association organizations of history, anthropology, and American studies invites graduate students from all disciplines to submit papers for the Milton Plesur Conference to be held on March 4-6, 2005.
Preference will be given to interdisciplinary studies, but all papers of historical inquiry will be considered. The conference will be held over a three day period, with the keynote speaker, Dr. Hasia Diner, giving her address the first night. Dr. Diner, professor of history at New York University, will discuss her work that crosses boundaries of historical subfields by incorporating women, religious groups, ethnic groups, urban history, and social history. Graduate students will present their papers and take part in panel discussions, consisting of 3-4 presenters and one moderator.
Please submit a 1-2 page abstract via e-mail to Danielle Battisti at the e-mail address shown below by January 24, 2005.
