Founded in 1974, the American Society for Hispanic Art Historical Studies (ASHAHS) is dedicated to the encouragement and advancement of research on the arts of Iberia, from pre-history to the present. As part of this endeavor, the Society invites MA and PhD candidates who are preparing a thesis on topics drawn from the history of Spanish and Portuguese art and architecture to apply for its 2005 ASHAHS Photographs Grant. One grant of $1000 or two of $500 will be announced at the ASHAHS business meeting at the College Art Association annual meeting in February.
