The GAH invites proposals for panels and individual papers for its annual conference, to be held April 8-9, 2005 at the Wyndam Hotel, 800 Front Avenue in Columbus, GA. Papers and panels that address the theme--"Contacts, Contexts and Consequences New Directions for History in the Twenty-first Century"--are particularly encouraged. The GAH welcomes paper or panel proposals from all areas and subfields of history, including US history, world history, public history, regional studies, and proposals focused on the teaching of history. Proposals from graduate students, public historians, and K-12 teachers are strongly encouraged.
