The American Studies Institute of The Lovett School was created to foster interdisciplinary teaching and learning, and to enable teachers to engage in conversation and collaboration. To further this mission, the Institute will offer a summer faculty workshop June 6-8, 2005, at The Lovett School. The theme of this three-day session is "A More Perfect Union: Teaching American Romanticism (1820-1860) through Literature, History, Music, and Art." This workshop is open to all middle and upper school teachers who wish to enrich their understanding of America by searching beyond the confines of a specific discipline. Registration is starting now; please visit our website (web address shown below) for more information or a registration form.
