The Portuguese Studies Review invites proposals for articles on any aspect of the history of women, in the medieval and early modern periods, in Portugal, the Portuguese diaspora, the Portuguese-speaking world, and geographical areas closely affected by the Portuguese overseas expansion. Submissions may be made in English, Portuguese, French, and Spanish, and the journal will consider articles in all four languages.
The final deadline for proposals is extended to 30 November 2004. The proposals should not exceed 300-500 words and should outline the theme, source base, and main contribution of the paper to the subject. Please send the proposals and abridged CVs to Dr. Darlene Abreu-Ferreira. E-mail: d.abreu@uwinnipeg.ca, and cross-copy the proposals to the Chief Editor (e-mail address given below).
The completed articles should reach the editors before 15 January 2005. Final versions of the papers should reach the PSR by 15 June 2005. The issue will be published in August-September 2005.
