ARGENTINA WINTER STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM
December 26, 2004 – January 17, 2005
The ASU Winter Term Program in Argentina is a three-week learning experience in the major cultural and intellectual center of Spanish-speaking Latin America. In addition to being South America’s largest capital, Buenos Aires is also the most important Jewish cultural center in Latin America and one of the major cities of immigrant culture on the continent. During this intensive program, you will have the opportunity to examine the cultural production relating to this city in the areas of literature, art, music, journalism, theater, and photography. In addition to meeting with major figures from the arts and academic community, we will explore together this very “user friendly” metropolis, towards understanding how it has been represented in and interpreted by Argentine culture.
