Museum practitioners agree that the once-core activity of research is under increasing pressure both from within and outside our institutions. The Museum Research Summit is a three-day, cross-disciplinary Summit with the objective to develop a comprehensive action plan to ensure the future strength and relevance of research in Canadian museums. The Summit, hosted by the Canadian Museums Association, will be held in Ottawa, Ontario, January 6-8, 2005.
