The 11th International Conference of the European Association for Japanese Studies (EAJS) will be held from August 31 to September 3, 2005 at the University of Vienna in Austria. The conference will be organized by the EAJS and the Department of East Asian Studies, University of Vienna.
The conference aims at a broad overview of recent trends and developments in the field of Japanese Studies. It is staged in 2005, one year before the established triannial schedule, in order to contribute to the celebrations of the EU - Japan People to People's Year 2005. Conference participation is not limited to European scholars, but open to researchers and students from all over the world.
