The 2005 SW/TX PCA/ACA Conference will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Hyatt regency downtown. The Texas Culture Area solicits paper and presentation proposals from professors, graduate students, scholars, citizens, cowboys, and other aficionados of all things Texas. Also welcome are proposals for discussions and panels organized around common Texas-centric themes or motifs. • The Texas State Fair
• High School Football in Texas
• Texas Authors and Literature
• Art and Artists from Texas
• The Cowboy Boot as Cultural Icon
• Agriculture and Ranching in Texas
• Music and Musicians from Texas
• Texas Politics
• The Cowboy Hat as Cultural Icon
• Mexican-American Culture in Texas
• African-American Culture in Texas
• Juneteenth
• And, of course, other Texas-centric topics are welcome
