The Southwest-Texas Popular Culture Association and American Culture Association invites you to consider presenting on the films and life of Alfred Hitchock at this year's conference.
Possible topics include:
- Formal and/or theoretical analyses of Hitchcock's films
- The intersection of Hitchcock's films with historical events
- Inquiries into the many Hitchcock biographies
- Exlporations of Hitchcock's influence on other filmmakers
- Hitchcock's collaboration with other artists
- Discussions of the use of Hitchcock in critical and cultural theory
And these are just a few of the many areas of interest that you might consider. Hitchcock's films endure as the most debated and discussed of any Hollywood director, and we invite you to contribute to its growing body of criticism by attending our conference. The SW-TX PCA/ACA will be holding its annual conference in Albuquerque, NM on February 9-12, 2005. Full details on the location, registration procedures, and additional area topics can be found at our website (address given below).
Deadline for proposals is November 15, 2004.
