Call for Papers
This inter- and multi-disciplinary conference aims to explore all aspects of 'leadership' in the contexts of educational theory and practice. The project will also examine understandings of leadership in non-educational contexts and assess how far and to what extent these understandings may illuminate and enrich successful educational leadership.
Papers, case studies, reports, work-in-progress, workshops and proposals for future research are invited on issues related to any of the following themes:
- Managing and leading strategic change
- Successful leadership in practice
- Models for the development of strategic managers
- Resources for identifying and promoting leaders in education
- Leadership styles, strategies and skills
- Curriculum leadership
- Good practice in leadership development
- Leadership and high achieving institutions
Submissions will be considered on any related theme. 300 word abstracts should be submitted by Monday 22nd November 2004. If an abstract is accepted for the conference, a full draft paper should be submitted by Friday 11th February 2005.
300 word abstracts should be submitted to the Organising Joint Chairs; abstracts may be in Word, WordPerfect, PDF or RTF formats.

The conference is sponsored by Inter-Disciplinary.Net, Learning Solutions, and BRG as part of the ‘At the Interface’ programme of Higher Education projects. It aims to bring together people from different areas and interests to share ideas and explore various discussions which are innovative and exciting.
All papers accepted for and presented at this conference will be published in an ISBN eBook. Selected papers will be developed for publication in a themed hard copy volume.
