Three Panel Series Title:
“Sacred Imperialism: Possession, Conquest, Plenitude, and Power in the Hebrew Bible, New Testament, and Qur’an”
The three sacred texts are the site of narratives that include the conquest and possession of man by God, of nation and woman by man, and of man by woman. This panel seeks to explore themes and formal strategies relating to the successful construction of monotheism as a trope for plenitude and power, both for nation and subjectivity.
