The History Graduate Student Association of North Carolina State University is pleased to announce the first Triangle Area (NC) Graduate Student History Conference, to be held at NCSU on Saturday, February 26, 2005. The Conference is open to all graduate students of the Triangle Area universities (Duke, NC Central, NCSU, and UNC-Chapel Hill)
We welcome proposals from graduate students for individual papers on any historical topic or time period. The presentations will last approximately fifteen minutes each, followed by commentaries and general discussion. Faculty from the representative universities will moderate. Registration is $10 for presenters, payable upon paper acceptance, and lunch will be provided for all participants. Prizes will be awarded with support from NCSU’s Department of History.
If interested, please submit a 250-word proposal and a current CV no later than January 2, 2005. The Conference Committee will evaluate proposals and inform those selected by January 17th. A copy of the final paper is due by February 13th.
Electronic submissions are preferred and may be submitted at the website given below.
We will, however, also accept hard copy submissions, which may be sent to the postal address given below.
