THE GREAT AFRICAN RINDERPEST PANZOOTIC: c1887-1898.
This ia a call for chapters for a proposed publication on the late nineteenth century Rinderpest epizootic that decimated African cattle herds throughout the continent from c1887 - 1898. A multifaceted compilation that examines all facets of the panzootic, including veterinarian and ecological, is envisaged. Contributions on any aspect of this eoizootic of a continental scale and critical importance in the unfolding of historical processes in Africa in the last two decades of the nineteenth century will be considered.
