The International Summit, to be held in San Diego from the 12-14 December, will be a highly engaging and innovative event offering participants the opportunity to benefit from the best of year-long discourses, deliberations and activities in progressing e-learning, e-training and e-knowledge. This event will bring together key individuals from education, industry and government who are committed to seeing e-learning and knowledge management become integral to organizational practice and ideology. It will also give participants the occasion to identify collaborative opportunities and to gain new ideas and insights on key issues and agendas from a sectorial and geographic perspective.
The e-Agenda idea was conceived in 2002 when a need was identified for a forum where executives, decision makers and leading practitioners could connect with their counterparts to explore the rapidly changing e-learning landscape and to debate and to challenge existing educational paradigms. From this initial concept, e-Agenda has progressively evolved into an annual series of events which are held across the globe and that strive to derive more tangible outcomes and to influence the future direction of e-learning.
Speakers at the International Summit will include:
- Claudio Dondi, President SCIENTER
- Bob Fryer, CEO, National Health Services University and Vice-Chancellor Designate, UK
- Diana Laurillard Head of eLearning Strategy Unit, Department for Education and Skills, UK
- Nicole Melander Senior Director, Worldwide Higher Education Strategy, Microsoft Corporation
- Ian O’Connor, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Teaching and Learning and Vice President, Griffith University
- Ron Perkinson, Senior Education Specialist, International Finance Corporation, World Bank Group
- Matthew Pittinsky Chairman, Blackboard Inc
