The UCLA School of Law, the Tax History Project at Tax Analysts, and the Cambridge University Centre for Tax Law are seeking papers for a conference on the history of taxation and public finance. Scholars in history, law, political science, economics, sociology, and related fields are invited to submit proposals on any aspect of worldwide tax history.
The conference will be held July 18-19, 2005, at the UCLA School of Law in Los Angeles, California. Interested authors may submit either (i) a draft working paper, if available, or (ii) an abstract of the paper along with a brief but detailed description of the project. Submissions should be made by December 1, 2004. The authors of selected papers will be notified by January 31, 2005. Conference sponsors will cover the cost of accommodations for authors selected to present their papers, but authors will be responsible for paying their own travel expenses.
