Kevin Boyle (Ohio State University) will speak at Marygrove College about his new book on the Ossian Sweet murder trial and civil rights case that took place in Detroit in 1925-26. Boyle's talk is based on his newly published book, "Arc of Justice: A Sage of Race, Civil Rights, and Murder in the Jazz Age" (Henry Holt). The presentation starts at 7:30 p.m. and will take place in the Theater of Marygrove College (8425 W. McNichols, Detroit, MI, 48221). It is free an open to the public. Copies of Boyle's book will be available for purchase, and a booksigning will follow his talk.
