The Society for Spanish and Portuguese Historical Studies invites you to participate in its 36th annual meeting in historic Charleston, South Carolina. The conference will be hosted by the College of Charleston, 10-13 March 2005.
The SSPHS welcomes paper submissions addressing any aspect of the history of Spain or Portugal or their connections with the wider world. We encourage submissions of both individual proposals and complete panels dedicated to a common theme. SSPHS sessions should include a chair, a commentator, and three panelists with presentations of twenty minutes each. All participants must be members of the SSPHS; graduate students presenting their first paper are eligible for a complimentary membership.
