The Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Studies invites proposals for individual papers or complete panels for the 95th annual meeting of the Society to be held in Portland, Oregon (Oregon State University), May 5 –7.
Papers on any topic relevant to Scandinavian Studies are welcome. Proposals consisting of a one-to two-page abstract should be submitted to: Terje Leiren, Department of Scandinavian Studies, University of Washington,P.O.Box 353420,Seattle,WA 98195-3420.
Submissions by e-mail may be made by sending the proposal in the body of a standard e-mail letter to . No attachments please. Please indicate if you will need any special equip ment or computer and network connections for your presentation.
Deadline for submissions is 1 December,2004.

All presenters, except for those invited from overseas, must be members in good standing. For membership information please contact the SASS at .
Graduate students are also welcome to submit proposals, which should be accompanied by notes of support from their advisors.
Since graduate students papers may be eligible for the Aurora Borealis Prize presenters should be prepared to submit a copy of their papers as read at the meeting. The registration table will collect such papers.
