"Revolutionary Change in World History" is the theme of the 9th annual Mid-Atlantic World History Conference to be held at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ, on Oct. 8-9, 2004. Professor Hamid Dabashi, Columbia University, will speak on "The Global Implications of the Iranian Revolution," and Professor Andrew Hunt, University of Waterloo, Ontario, will speak on "The Role of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War." Panels will address issues ranging from revolutionary forces in the contemporary world, art and literature in revolution, revolutionary pacifism, social and scientific revolutions in World History, as well as a number of teaching panels exploring developing trends in the teaching of World History.
