The objective of this conference is to generate practical approaches to building the capacity of universities in third world nations to apply information and communication technologies (ICTs) toward meeting the Millennium Development Goals and other development priorities. The conference will focus on African universities and their potential for using ICTs in supporting enduring improvements in the health, education, and economic welfare of their people.
