On 8 and 9 October 2004, the Radboud University Nijmegen will host an international conference entitled “Princely Virtues in the Middle Ages, 1200-1500”. Fifteen contributors will reflect on the political use and significance of virtues in late medieval Latin texts. The conference is organized by the research programme “A Genealogy of Morals: The Cardinal Virtues in the Middle Ages”, directed by István Bejczy and sponsored by the Netherlands Organization of Scientific Research (NWO) and the Radboud University Nijmegen. Those who have a professional interest in the theme of the conference are very welcome to participate. There is no conference fee; the only costs are those of lunch and coffee (€ 15 per day).
