Greenwood Reference, a division of the Greenwood Publishing Group, seeks qualified and conscientious volume editors to recruit and oversee contributors (and to write entries themselves if necessary) to volumes of a mutli-volume encyclopedia of Sex and World Cultures. An editor is needed for each of the following volumes:
a. The Medieval Period
b. The Renaissance
c. The Modern World (20th-21st Centuries)
Please, no dabblers! Interested candidates should realize that we are looking for "hands on" people who are adept at signing and managing contributors, keeping a project on schedule, and understanding the audience of a general-interest reference book (for public, high school, and college libraries).
Volume editors are compensated with a percentage of royalties from sales of the entire set. This is not a salaried position.
Please send a clear cover letter by email, with c.v. attached, and specify which historical era is appropriate to your background. A knowledge of the specified historical era is a must; experience in writing or editing reference books is preferred. No phone calls, please.
