I would like to put a panel together on issues surrounding the Pueblo Revolt of 1680. I am the author of an article on leadership in the Pueblo Revolt published in 1990 in the New Mexico Historical Review. My basic thesis has been that a sociocultural analysis points to the fact that the leadership model was not that of a single leader but rather multiple leaders. Secondly that there was a person named Naranjo who was a leader and may very well have been the god Pose-yemu in the kiva at Taos.
I am looking for others who might want to dispute this thesis or look at other aspects. I apologize for getting this out so late, I was moving and confused the dates. The deadline for submission is 31 August 2004 for the WHA Conference in Phoenix in 2005. I will need a short summary and one-page resume.
