This is to let people know about www.historypages.net - a new (free) Australian history website H-Net members may find interesting. It takes a light hearted approach to Australia's past, featuring interesting or amusing pictures and items/snippets from Australia's colonial past. New material is posted every fortnight, with previous material available in the site archives.
Ths site is likely to be of interest to history professionals, teachers and students as well as the general public. Contributions are welcome (see the Serious History Items and Controversy Pages sections).
The National Library of Australia is providing pictures to be featured on the site, and has already included the site in its PANDORA archive of significant Australian electronic web sites.
