Call for Papers:Southwest Popular Culture Association
Mystery Detective Area

The annual conference of the Southwest Popular Culture Association will be held Feb. 9-13, 2005 at the Hyatt Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Proposals are now being accepted for the Mystery Detective Area. Listed below are some suggestions for possible panels and/or papers, but presentations on topics not listed here are also welcome.

Film adaptations of mystery/detective fiction
Matters of gender in mystery/detective fiction
Matters of ethnicity in mystery/detective fiction
Geography in mystery/detective fiction
Classic mysteries
Hard-boiled detectives
Individual authors
True crime
And much much more ...

Please submit an abstract of 250 words and a vita by Nov. 15, 2004.
