The 2004 Agricultural History Society Symposium, "A Century of Scientific Outreach," will be held on the campus of Cornell University, September 9-11. The conference program includes papers on agricultural education, international agriculture, horticulture, landscape architecture, plant pathology, Liberty Hyde Bailey, and a variety of other topics in agricultural and rural history, as well as several local field trip opportunities.
Registration materials and a tentative program are available on the Agricultural History Society's new website, which can be found at http://agriculturalhistory.ualr.edu.
The symposium is cosponsored by the Botanical Society of America and is being held in conjunction with the Cornell College of Agriculture and Life Science Centennial Celebration.
