of the American Historical Association, invites panel and single paper
proposals for the annual conference in Seattle, Washington, January 6-9,
2005. For more information on the AHA's annual meeting see

University and college professors of History and allied disciplines, as
well as librarians, archivists, publishers, editors, graduate students,
K-12 teachers and instructional designers from the US and abroad, are
encouraged to submit proposals for this exciting conference. Panel and
paper proposals on any topic relating to the use of digital technologies
in history and related disciplines are encouraged. The theme of the
conference, Archives and Artifacts does not in any way exclude from
consideration or put at a disadvantage panels unrelated to this theme.
Proposals may be made for either complete panels or individual papers.
Multimedia presentations are especially encouraged, but participants are
advised that they are responsible for providing their own laptop
computers, software, and LCD projectors as needed. The AAHC will make available one LCD projector and a limited number of live Internet connections.
Suggested formats for full panels include three 30-minute papers, four
20-minute papers, or a round table format. Other innovative format
proposals will be considered. Proposals for complete panels should also
include a chair. A panel may include a formal comment or question and
response with the audience. All proposals must include a 200-word
abstract for each paper along with a brief vita for each participant. Please be
sure to indicate which member of the panel will serve as the contact person
for future correspondence. Please include the name, address, telephone
number, and e-mail address for each participant. All presenters must be current members of the AAHC. For more information about the AAHC and the AAHC's portion of the AHA conference in Seattle, please visit our website at
