The Classroom Connector is a new Web resource that fosters distance collaboration in the college classroom. Users register themselves and their teaching projects, for the purpose of finding others with compatible teaching goals. The database is searchable by discipline, project, and user profile. This website, endorsed by the World History Association, facilitates and encourages the linking of classrooms across the country and around the world.
Currently, the disciplines listed on the Classroom Connector site are
American Studies, Communication, Economics, English, History, Political
Science, and Sociology. In the near future, we will add Educational
Technology, Geography, Physics, and Social Work.
We welcome you to visit the site, to consider some of the benefits of putting your students into direct contact with their peers in distant places, and to register yourself as a user.
