The Western Jewish Studies Association will be holding its 11th
Annual Conference on March 13-14, 2005 in Tempe, Arizona in conjuction with the annual meetings of the Western Commission on the Study of Religion and the Society for Biblical Literature, Pacific Coast Region. Paper and panel proposals about any subject within the field of Jewish Studies and those dealing with pedagogical issues of teaching courses in this field are welcome.
Graduate students are encouraged to submit paper and panel proposals. Several travel stipends are available for graduate students whose papers are
accepted. If you would like to chair a session at the conference,
send a short CV. If you plan to give a paper, send a one-page
synopsis of your paper and a short CV. If you are organizing a
panel on a specific topic, send a cover page with the title of
the panel, the titles of the papers, and contact information for
the participants. Each panel participant must send a short CV and
paper synopsis.
