From the point of view of an exploration of the ways to promote international collobarations and eventually to gear and drive Songkhla province, a southern province of Thailand, to become the regional hub for international education, Hatyai University sponsored by Songkhla Province and incorporates with the three advisory partners, Universiti Utara Malaysia, Assumption University, and Department of Education, Science and Training, Australian Embassy, will be hosting an international conference on education with the theme “International Collaborations on Education: Perspectives and Strategies (ICE 2004)” from 27-28 August 2004 at B.P.Grand Tower Hotel, Hatyai City, Songkhla Province, Thailand.
The conference objectives are to share experiences and develop scholarship on internationalisation of education, educational collaboration and teaching and learning, to establish a global network of collaboration among policy makers, scholars and managers of education, and to promote Songkhla province, a southern province of Thailand, as an appropriate venue for international education.
At this conference, we hope to discuss a broad array of issues on the provision of international education which will also cover related topics such as:
