Hatyai University has been entrusted to explore ways to promote international collaborations and eventually to gear and drive Songkhla province, a southern province of Thailand, to become the regional hub for international education. To speculate and formulate practical perspectives and strategies for the internationalisation of education, Hatyai University together with Songkhla Province, will be hosting an international conference on education with the theme,"International Collaborations on Education: Perspectives and Strategies(ICE 2004)" from 27-28 August 2004 at B.P.Grand Tower Hotel in Hatyai City, Songkhla, Thailand.
The conference objectives are:
To share experiences and develop scholarship on internationalisation of education, educational collaboration, and teaching and learning.
To establish a global network of collaboration among policy makers, scholars and managers of education.
To promote Songkhla as an appropriate venue for international education.
The following sub-themes of ICE 2004 include (1) International collaborations, (2) Curricular and pedagogical implications, (3)Educational policy and organisational leadership, and (4) Quality assurance and Accreditation in education.
The medium languages are English and Thai.
