Dear AHRB Centre for Asian and African Literatures mailing list:
I'm delighted to invite you to a special event at the Poetry Translation Centre when we'll be joined by the Iraqi novelist, ALI
BADER, to discuss the situation of writers in Iraq one year after the invasion with special reference to the importance of
translation.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday 23rd June from 6.00-7.30 in room B104 in the Brunei Gallery (opposite the SOAS main
building).
The event is free, everyone is welcome and there's no need to reserve a place. Please do forward this invitation to anyone else you
think would be interested.
I very much look forward to seeing you there.
with best wishes,
Sarah Maguire
Director, Poetry Translation Centre at SOAS
